The Chairman of the Central Executive Board (DPP) of the Betawi Children Communication Forum (FORKABI) for the 2021-2026 period, Abdul Ghoni, has condemned the execution of an illegal General Assembly (Mubes) in Depok, West Java. “FORKABI has been officially registered. Do not take actions that only serve to destabilise the organisation,” Ghoni stated in a press release in Jakarta on Saturday.

He demanded that all individuals involved in the unauthorised FORKABI election, which violates the organisation’s Articles of Association and Bylaws, resign immediately. He noted that the name and attributes of FORKABI possess official legality and must not be used arbitrarily by other parties.

“I request that all personnel participating in this fraudulent FORKABI election resign. Otherwise, we will take firm action, as the DPP FORKABI that I lead is legitimate and recognised by the state based on the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights,” Ghoni said.

He further confirmed, based on a letter signed by the Chairman of the Central Organisation Advisory Council (MPOP) of DPP FORKABI, Iwan Shalih, and Vice Chairman Colonel (Ret.) Juanda, that the fourth General Assembly of DPP FORKABI held this Saturday at the Pendopo Madas Nusantara in Depok, West Java, lacked permission from local police, specifically the Depok Police and the Cimanggis Sector Police.

“This fraudulent assembly was also held without my knowledge as the Chairman of the DPP FORKAPI for the 2021-2026 period,” Ghoni added regarding the assembly in Depok.

Furthermore, he stated that the MPOP has requested that all involved parties, including the newly elected Chairman from the illegal assembly, immediately report to the legitimate DPP FORKABI Secretariat, which is recognised under the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Decree number AHU-0005595.AH.01.07 Year 2021, under the leadership of Abdul Ghoni. “They must be held accountable for their actions as they have caused division within FORKABI,” Ghoni emphasised.

He stressed that all parties must maintain a conducive organisational environment and prioritise ethics in both politics and organisational management. Regarding the plans for the 2026-2031 General Assembly, Ghoni stated he is prepared to accept a mandate if entrusted to run for re-election. However, he also expressed openness to stepping down if other members are deemed more worthy of leading the organisation.
