Forgot to give? Rumah Yatim app offers digital alms solution
Jakarta (ANTARA) - National Zakat Institution (Laznas) Rumah Yatim has launched a digital alms-giving service through the Rumah Yatim app, now available on the Play Store and App Store.
Through the app, the public can access various charitable programmes whilst taking advantage of automatic alms features to help build a routine habit of giving.
Rumah Yatim’s Marketing and Communications Director, Sani Ramdani, said in Jakarta on Thursday that digitising services is part of the organisation’s efforts to provide convenience and enhance the public’s giving experience.
“The spirit of giving among Indonesians is very strong. The challenge is sometimes not the intention, but the busyness that makes alms-giving slip one’s mind. That is why we present an app that helps people give more easily and consistently,” said Sani.
The feature serves as a solution for people who wish to give regularly but often miss the moment due to daily commitments. With a more practical system, users can set up their alms-giving habits through the app without repeating the donation process manually.
According to him, the presence of the Rumah Yatim app also marks the institution’s step in adapting to changes in public behaviour, which is increasingly oriented towards digital services.
Beyond alms, users can access a range of zakat, infak, endowment (wakaf), orphan assistance, and social and community empowerment programmes through a single app.
“Technology should bring people closer to good deeds. We want the Rumah Yatim app to be not merely a donation platform, but part of people’s daily habit of giving,” Sani added.
Rumah Yatim continues to strengthen its digital services to provide a donation process that is ever easier, safer, and more transparent for donors.
Through the app, the public can access zakat, infak, alms, and endowment services digitally.
The automatic alms service is expected to encourage more people to make giving not just a momentary activity, but a good habit sustained over time.
