Forging a Shared Victory: Hipmi's 18th National Conference Successfully Unites All Cadres
The election of Ade Jona Prasetyo as General Chairman of BPP Hipmi for the 2026–2029 period at the XVIII National Conference (Munas) in Bandar Lampung marks the beginning of a new chapter for Indonesia’s largest young entrepreneurs’ organisation. The victory, achieved by acclamation, is not only a win for Ade Jona Prasetyo but also a symbol of unity for all Hipmi cadres following the conclusion of the contest. This spirit of unity was evident in the support given by fellow general chairman candidates, Anthony Leong, who declared his backing first, followed by Reynaldo Bryan, who ultimately joined and supported Ade Jona ahead of the acclamation confirmation. This support proves that the interests of the organisation are above personal or group interests. Ade Jona stated that Anthony is a long-time comrade-in-arms from the same background. “Anthony Leong is a long-time comrade-in-arms, and we come from the same background. So our vision is to move together to present a better Hipmi going forward,” said Ade Jona in a statement on Saturday, 13 June 2026. Additionally, Ade Jona also referred to Reynaldo as his brother, emphasising the importance of friendship and brotherhood for Hipmi. “We must move together from the regions. We prioritise friendship and brotherhood,” he said. The collaboration between Ade Jona, Anthony Leong, and Reynaldo Bryan is believed to be a major force in making Hipmi more relevant in addressing national economic challenges. With the experience, networks, and ideas possessed by each figure, Hipmi is expected to become a strategic partner for the government in executing various national priority programmes. One focus area for Hipmi’s future contribution is supporting the industrial downstreaming programme continuously promoted by the government. Downstreaming is considered capable of creating added value, opening new jobs, and producing young entrepreneurs in various regions. Furthermore, the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme also opens significant opportunities for MSMEs and young entrepreneurs to engage in the national supply chain, from agriculture, livestock, and fisheries to logistics and distribution. Through Ade Jona’s leadership, which embraces all elements of the organisation, along with the support and contributions of Anthony Leong and Reynaldo Bryan, Hipmi has the opportunity to become a driving force in producing more national entrepreneurs capable of strengthening regional economies while enhancing Indonesia’s competitiveness at the global level.
