Forestry research grant approved

YOGYAKARTA: The International Tropical Timber Organization
(ITTO) signed an agreement yesterday to present a US$600,000
research grant to Gadjah Mada University and the Forestry and
Plantation Department of Ministry of Forestry.

The agreement for the three-year grant was signed here
yesterday by ITTO executive director BCY Freezailah and Gadjah
Mada rector Ichlasul Amal.

Apart from the financial grant, four forestry experts from
Oregon State University will be sent to assist in the forestry
research. (23)
