Forestry Minister Distributes Social Forestry Decrees to 140 Households in IKN
JAKARTA — Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni presented Social Forestry Decision Letters (SK) to four Farmer Forest Groups (KTH) covering a total area of 833 hectares benefiting 140 household heads (KK).
The presentation of Social Forestry Decision Letters took place in the Nusantara Capital City (IKN), East Kalimantan, as part of the government’s commitment to strengthen community access to forest management.
When presenting the SK, Raja Juli also conveyed greetings from President Prabowo Subianto to the farmer forest groups.
“Respectful greetings to the forest farmer groups from President Prabowo Subianto. I wish to emphasise once again that this is the President’s flagship programme, where forest as a natural resource is maximised for the welfare of the community,” said Raja Juli in a statement on Saturday, 28 February 2026.
He noted that the presentation of the SK was particularly special because it was held in IKN, stating that IKN is the capital city of dreams that receives direct support from President Prabowo Subianto.
“Alhamdulillah, we witness very strong political support from President Prabowo Subianto. This distribution of social forestry certificates is particularly special because it is being distributed in IKN,” he said.
He stated that President Prabowo’s flagship programme can provide legal certainty for communities in utilising forest areas in a productive and sustainable manner.
“We jointly present social forestry decision letters to these 4 KTH as part of the 8.3 million social forestry certificates that have already been distributed to the community,” he said.
“Many matters still need to be resolved, including ensuring there is a legal framework for communities, so they can utilise the forest maximally to improve welfare whilst also preserving forest conservation,” he added.
