Forest fire on Mount Semeru continues to spread

A forest fire in the Ranu Kembar area of Mount Semeru, Lumajang, East Java, remained untouched and continued to spread as of Thursday evening (27/8). Joint teams from Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Lumajang military district command, Lumajang police, and volunteers have managed to bring the flames under control at several points that could be reached manually, including the Jantur block in Argosari village and the Bantengan block in Ranu Pani village, Senduro sub-district.
