Forest Fire Erupts on Route to Bromo, Crews Battle to Protect Settlements

A forest fire has ignited in the Perhutani area of RPH Sukapura, Gunung Ringgit Block, Sapikerep Village, Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java, on Saturday (25/7/2026). The Probolinggo Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), together with Perhutani, has initiated an early response to the fire in the hills leading to Bromo. The operation aims to prevent the flames from spreading to local agricultural land and residential areas, as vegetation conditions have become extremely dry during the dry season.
