Forest Area Task Force Appreciates President Prabowo's Statement on Promotions
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Forest Area Law Enforcement Task Force (Satgas PKH) has expressed appreciation for President Prabowo Subianto’s statement regarding promotions for high-achieving task force members as a form of recognition.
“If this is a form of appreciation from him to the Satgas PKH members who have strived, worked, and sought to recover state losses and damaged natural resources, we deeply respect and value this gesture,” said the Head of the Legal Information Centre of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
According to Anang, the President’s statement will serve as motivation for Satgas PKH members in their efforts to restore state finances through the regulation of forest areas.
He ensured that the Satgas PKH will continue to work towards taking action against parties illegally occupying state forest land.
“There are still many arrears and fines that have not been settled, and we will proceed with collections. In the future, if parties are not cooperative in paying these fines, the final step will be criminal prosecution,” he said.
While providing direction during the handover ceremony for administrative fines and forest area land by the Satgas PKH at the Attorney General’s Office Building in Jakarta on Tuesday, the President stated that high-achieving members of the Satgas PKH should receive promotions, whether in the form of position advancements or rank increases.
“To the leaders of the Satgas PKH, I ask for a list of your high-performing subordinates. I want those who excel to be promoted immediately, given promotions, or awarded honours. That is how a state should function. Those who steal, chase them and catch them! Those who are good should be promoted,” said Prabowo.
On that occasion, the President witnessed the handover of Rp13.24 trillion from the Satgas PKH, represented by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin as the First Vice Chairman of the Satgas PKH Steering Committee, to the state, represented by Finance Minister Suahasil Nazara.
During the same ceremony, the Attorney General also symbolically handed over 259,230.73 hectares of land to the state, represented by Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni.
