Forensic Team Probes Foam at Mouth Claim in Sutrimo Death Case

The mystery surrounding the death of Sutrimo continues to raise questions. One piece of information now being examined by the forensic team is the condition of Sutrimo, who was reportedly foaming from the mouth and nose when he was found unconscious.

This information resurfaced after the Metro Jaya Regional Police carried out an exhumation of Sutrimo’s body in Wlahar Village, Wangon District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java, on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.

The head of the forensic medical team, Ahmad Yudianto, said that when the body was examined after the grave was opened, the foam previously reported to have come from the mouth and nose was no longer visible.

“Indeed, the information we received was that Sutrimo’s body was producing swab, producing foam from the nose and mouth at the time of his death,” said Yudi, as quoted on Thursday, 13 August 2026.

Nevertheless, the team did not disregard this information. Samples were still taken using the swab method to check for the possibility of remaining material that could provide clues about Sutrimo’s condition before his death.

“But we tried to do it earlier, the laboratory separation took samples by swabbing, to see whether there are still residues of what was contained in this,” he said.

These samples will subsequently undergo a series of laboratory examinations. The results are expected to help uncover the cause of Sutrimo’s death.

“We are waiting for the laboratory results, whether from toxicology, DNA examination, or histopathology examination,” he said.

It was previously reported that the mystery of Sutrimo’s death remained unanswered even after his grave was opened and his body examined by the forensic team. Initial examination results in fact showed no visible wounds indicating violence.

The forensic team found no signs of injuries caused by blunt or sharp objects on Sutrimo’s body. However, these findings could not yet confirm how the 42-year-old man died.

The head of the forensic team, Ahmad Yudianto, said further examination was still needed to determine the cause of death scientifically.

“From the external and internal examination results, visually we did not find any signs of injuries caused by blunt force or sharp force trauma. For that reason, we are conducting further examinations to take samples to confirm and find the exact cause of death,” Yudi told reporters on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.
