Foreigners Impressed by Danantara Managers' Children, Prabowo Says They See Smart Indonesian Faces

JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto stated that foreign officials who meet with the children of Danantara Investment Management Board (BPI) executives are consistently impressed by their intelligence.

According to Prabowo, these foreign visitors are surprised because they see a different face of Indonesia.

Prabowo made these remarks whilst attending Danantara’s first anniversary celebration at Wisma Danantara in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

“Everyone I hear from abroad, when they meet with colleagues from Danantara, they are impressed. They are surprised, they see a different face of Indonesia. Indonesian sons and daughters who are smart, who understand business, who understand economics, who understand investment, who understand downstream development. Those who speak to me are impressed,” Prabowo said.

He also congratulated Danantara on achieving good results during its inaugural year.

“Finally, I urge vigilance and caution, and to look after yourselves. Remember the hopes of the entire nation and all the people resting on your shoulders. You must protect and manage the wealth of our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren,” he said.
