Foreign Woman Kneels in Front of Car in Nusa Dua, Suspected Plea for Help

An overseas national has become the subject of online attention after a video circulated showing a foreign woman kneeling in the middle of Jalan Tugu Ngurah Rai, Nusa Dua, Badung, on the evening of Thursday, 21 May 2026. The footage, recorded by a driver inside a bus, shows the Caucasian woman standing in the middle of the road and obstructing a white car as it passes. The woman then kneels with her hands clasped together, as if pleading for help.

Moments later, a man, also apparently Caucasian, approached from the same direction. He appears to help the woman and drags her back to the roadside. The woman seems to resist and shouts while being carried.

The incident has drawn attention from local residents and online commentators who question what happened. In the comments section, some netizens expressed concern that the woman was asking for help, with one account suggesting there may be a threat from the man. Others speculated about the possibility of domestic violence and whether the woman could be harmed after publicly seeking help.

Notably, many netizens lamented the bystanders’ failure to intervene. DetikBali has requested confirmation from Denpasar Kota Police; however, to date, authorities have not issued a statement regarding the dispute involving the two foreign nationals.
