Foreign teams join bridge meet

JAKARTA (JP): The foursome bridge championship in Semarang,
Central Java, next week will pit local teams against 16 foreign
teams.

Committee chairman Perry P. Sardjono said on Thursday that he
was expecting more European, Australian and Asian pairs to enter
the event, sponsored by the leading clove cigarette company,
Djarum.

The tournament will serve as a warm-up session for the
national team, led by the seasoned Danny Sacul, which is
preparing for the Far East Bridge Championship in Perth next
