Foreign officials visit provinces

MATARAM, West Nusa Tenggara: Thirty-two senior officials from various developing countries started their four day-visit here Saturday to learn about Indonesia's family planning program.

"They will visit some family planning program centers and hold dialogs with local officials," Antara quoted a member of West Nusa Tenggara's family planning office, Sutrisno, as saying.

During their visit they will see firsthand how local people and officials manage the program and will hear the experiences of various couples.

The province is often visited by foreign family planning workers as it is categorized by the government as one of the most successful provinces in implementing the program.

The guests, including six Egyptians and one Ugandan, will visit family planning centers in West Lombok, East Lombok, Central Lombok and Sumbawa regencies. (prb)
