Foreign Net Buy Reaches Rp 1 Trillion, Driven by This Share
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Foreign investors booked a jumbo net buy of Rp1.01 trillion in the first trading session on Thursday (16/7/2026), alongside a strengthening of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) that drew ever closer to the psychological level of 6,100.
At the close of the first session, the IHSG stood at 6,064.46, up 22.49 points (0.37%). Transaction value reached Rp7.51 trillion, with a trading volume of 15.55 billion shares across 1.42 million trades.
However, the flood of foreign inflows did not entirely reflect accumulation in the regular market. According to Stockbit Sekuritas data, there was a jumbo transaction on the negotiated market worth around Rp1.44 trillion in shares of PT Paragon Karya Perkasa Tbk (PKPK), which helped boost the net foreign buy figure across the whole market.
PKPK’s disclosure shows the transaction was a transfer of the entire shareholding of PT Deli Putra Bangsa, comprising 900 million shares, equivalent to 75% of fully paid-up capital, at a price of Rp1,600 per share.
Even so, the transaction did not constitute a change of control. The shares were transferred to two entities still within the same business group, namely Resources Global Development Limited with 612 million shares, or 51%, and PT Deli Pratama Nusantara with 288 million shares, or 24%.
The company affirmed that there was no change to its capital structure, number of outstanding shares, controller, or ultimate beneficial owner following the transaction.
A shareholding report submitted to the Financial Services Authority (OJK) likewise shows that PT Deli Putra Bangsa released all 900 million of its shares, while Resources Global Development Limited entered as a direct shareholder holding 612 million shares, or 51%.
Beyond that negotiated transaction, foreign investors continued to snap up a number of large-capitalisation shares. PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) was the primary target with a net buy of Rp90.20 billion, followed by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) with Rp40.97 billion, PT Timah Tbk (TINS) with Rp33.20 billion, PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) with Rp25.99 billion, PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO) with Rp25.40 billion, PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) with Rp20.03 billion, and PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) with Rp14.47 billion.
Meanwhile, the share most heavily sold by foreign investors in the first session was PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), with a net sell of Rp60.83 billion. Foreign investors also recorded net sells in PT Rans Entertainment Indonesia Tbk (RANS) of Rp43.36 billion, PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) of Rp30.21 billion, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) of Rp24.63 billion, PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT) of Rp17.25 billion, and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) of Rp13.79 billion.
