Foreign Net Buy in Session 1, These Shares Are Targeted
Foreign capital flows have started to return to the domestic capital market, although selling pressure still looms. Throughout the first session today, Thursday (2/6/2026), foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp 7.8 billion. Foreigners conducted sales worth Rp 2.6 trillion and purchases worth Rp 2.6 trillion.
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) was the share with the largest foreign net buy, valued at Rp 126.8 billion, followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) at Rp 74.5 billion. Another major banking issuer, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), also made the list with a smaller net buy of Rp 18.4 billion. Energy and mining issuers were also observed to be targeted by foreign investors.

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) continued to move higher today, Thursday (2/6/2026). By the end of session 1, the IHSG was perched at 5,792.17, up 1.7% or 97.05 points. There were 458 issuers, or nearly half of the total listed companies on the Exchange, in the green zone. Only about 19% of issuers weakened, and the remaining 318 were stagnant.
Nevertheless, the market was still relatively quiet. The transaction value at the end of session 1 was only Rp 6.49 trillion, with 12.4 billion shares traded. Investors were recorded making transactions 913,300 times. For information, yesterday’s trading saw the IHSG close up 0.92% at 5,695.12. The index is still attempting to return to the 6,100-6,200 level, its previous strong resistance area. Citing Refinitiv, the IHSG’s movement today was supported by major bank issuers. BBCA, BMRI, BBRI, and BBNI were all in the list of top movers with significant weight.
