Foreign Ministry Protests Israeli Zionist Flags and Banners at Indonesian Hospital in Gaza
The Indonesian government has lodged a strong protest regarding the installation of Israeli Zionist flags and banners at the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, Palestine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) condemns the unilateral action by the Zionist occupying military in seizing the medical facility built jointly by the Indonesian people for the Gaza community.
Through an official statement, Indonesia’s Kemenlu asserts that the hoisting of Israeli Zionist flags and banners constitutes provocation. “Indonesia strongly condemns and protests the installation of (flags and) banners reading ‘Rising Lion’ by Israeli forces on the ruins of the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza,” stated Kemenlu, as quoted on Friday (24/4/2026).
Indonesia’s Kemenlu states that there is no justification for the unilateral action by the Zionist military against the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza. “The use of military symbols and propaganda on the ruins of the Indonesian Hospital, which has been destroyed, especially linking it to a specific military operation, is a highly provocative act that cannot be justified,” said Kemenlu.
Indonesia’s Kemenlu emphasises that the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza is a civilian medical facility dedicated entirely to healthcare and humanitarian services for the Palestinian people. The Indonesian Hospital in Gaza is not a place for military propaganda or intimidation. The installation of Israeli Zionist flags and banners is an act of insult to humanity.
“That action is an insult to the humanitarian facility built from the solidarity of the Indonesian people to help the Palestinian people,” said Kemenlu. The Indonesian government requests that Zionist Israel respect the existence of the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza. It also reminds the Zionist Israeli military to remove all flags, banners, or Zionist symbols from the hospital.
