Indonesia’s representatives in 132 countries will bridge the BBTF 2026 with local governments, whether ministries/institutions or associations. Badung (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) has ensured the dissemination of information regarding the 12th Bali and Beyond Travel Fair (BBTF) in 2026 to Indonesia’s 132 representatives worldwide. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs ensures that the promotion and information about BBTF is introduced or understood by the entire world; we have 132 Indonesian representatives in various countries, and from the beginning, we have been promoting this event,” said Director General of Information and Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Heru Hartanto Subolo. Heru, in Badung Regency on Monday, explained that this travel exhibition is also important for the government because tourism is part of diplomacy. For Kemlu, tourism plays a very strategic role in building a positive image of Indonesia, building global trust, and a national image that can create confidence in Indonesia. The results have already been proven, with several Indonesian embassies and consulates registering 27 buyers, consisting of the Embassy in Yangon with four buyers, Embassy in Karachi with three, Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City with eight, Embassy in Vienna with one, Embassy in Manila with one, and Embassy in Nairobi with 10 buyers who will attend the BBTF in May. “Of course, going forward, we will continue to encourage the dissemination of information about BBTF to be continuously promoted and conveyed, and Kemlu is committed to communicating it to all parties so as to bring in many buyers to BBTF 2026,” said Heru. If a crisis, disaster, or security issue occurs during the travel exhibition targeting participation from 47 countries, Kemlu also ensures its presence as crisis management. In addition, in supporting this tourism agenda, Heru said his side will ensure connectivity and access for buyers from various countries are facilitated to enter Indonesia. “So we will ensure the strengthening of international cooperation, especially to prevent barriers that occur for potential buyers entering Indonesia to have good access; we must build air connectivity,” he stated.
