Foreign Minister to Depart for Turkey Tomorrow, Will Attend Antalya Diplomacy Forum
Foreign Minister (Menlu) Sugiono will depart for Turkey tomorrow. Sugiono is scheduled to attend the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF). “The Foreign Minister of Indonesia, to fulfil the invitation from the Turkish Foreign Minister, will visit Antalya, Turkey, to participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum on 17 to 19 April,” said spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemlu) Yvonne Mewengkang at the Kemlu office in Central Jakarta on Thursday (16/4/2026). Yvonne stated that Sugiono will be a panellist in a discussion session related to ASEAN at the ADF. She noted that Sugiono’s attendance is an invitation from the Turkish Foreign Minister. “At the invitation from Turkey, the Foreign Minister of Indonesia will be a panellist in a discussion session related to ASEAN,” she said. Yvonne added that Sugiono will also attend a ministerial-level meeting of the Group of Eight countries on 18 April. That meeting will discuss the situation in the Middle East. “Also on 18 April, the Foreign Minister of Indonesia is scheduled to attend the ministerial-level meeting of the Group of Eight countries or Group of Eight (G8) which will discuss developments in the Middle East situation. So there are two main agendas for Mr Foreign Minister in Antalya,” she said.
