Foreign Minister Rubio: New US Attack on Iran Not Part of Epic Fury

Washington (ANTARA) - United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that the latest US military attack against Iran was not part of Operation Epic Fury, but rather a defensive action.

“It is different and separate from Operation Epic Fury,” said Marco Rubio to reporters while explaining the United States’ military response to threats against its warships.

Rubio said the United States must respond if a drone or missile is directed at their military destroyers.

“We must shoot down that missile. We must disable whatever launched that missile. The alternative is to let that missile sink one of our ships,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Iranian military command also claimed that the United States has violated the ceasefire by attacking several areas in the country.
