Foreign Minister: Outcome from South Korea, President Wants to Increase Number of K-pop Concerts
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Foreign Minister Sugiono stated that President Prabowo Subianto plans to increase the number of K-pop concerts as part of the outcomes from discussions during the visit to South Korea. “Yesterday, in a conversation, it was specifically mentioned for K-pop fans, there are plans to increase the number of concerts,” said Foreign Minister Sugiono during a press conference at the Presidential Staff Office (PSO) in Jakarta on Wednesday. Sugiono specifically highlighted President Prabowo’s meeting with Carmen, one of the members of the Indonesian-origin K-pop group Hearts2Hearts (H2H) in Seoul on Wednesday (1/4). As posted on the official social media account of South Korean President Lee Jae Myung, the three posed together making a finger heart symbol, a common pose used by K-pop idols for their fans. “But of course, once again, this visit is one where we want to produce something that is directly felt by the Indonesian people and our relations with various countries in the world,” he said. On that occasion, he also explained that during the visit to Japan, President Prabowo agreed to an investment commitment of $23.6 billion or approximately Rp401 trillion. Meanwhile, the visit to Seoul, South Korea, achieved concrete agreements in the form of the signing of various memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between business actors with a total value of $10.2 billion or equivalent to Rp173 trillion.
