Foreign Minister Lavrov: Russia Supplies Military Products to Iran
MOSCOW – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated on Thursday (27/3/2026) that Moscow is supplying military products to Iran. However, he denied information claiming that his side is providing intelligence to Tehran.
In a press statement quoted by INA, Lavrov said, “We are not transferring intelligence information to Iran, and everyone knows the coordinate points of US bases in the region.”
Lavrov added, “We have a technical-military cooperation agreement with Iran and have supplied military products to Tehran.”
According to Lavrov, the US bases in the Middle East have become targets of Iranian attacks as a result of “an adventure that began without reason,” while emphasising that Russia has repeatedly urged Washington to resume dialogue regarding issues in the Persian Gulf and broader Middle East matters.
