Foreign Minister Araghchi: Impact of Attacks on Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant Will Devastate Arab States
Radioactive fallout from an attack on the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant would end life in the capitals of GCC countries, not Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Saturday (4/4).
Tehran (ANTARA) - Earlier that day, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) reported that the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant site had been attacked by the United States and Israel, resulting in the death of one employee.
“Remember the West’s anger over the hostilities near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine? Israel and the US have bombed our Bushehr plant four times. The radioactive impact will end life in the capitals of GCC countries, not Tehran,” Araghchi said on platform X.
Iran also noted two attacks on the Natanz nuclear facility on 1 and 21 March, an assault on the heavy water production facility in Khondab on 27 March, and an attack on the uranium concentrate production plant in Ardakan.
Iran accuses the United States and Israel of involvement in these attacks.
At the end of February, the United States and Israel launched attacks on several targets in Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian casualties. Iran responded by striking Israeli territory and US military facilities in the Middle East.
