Foreign Investors Target BBCA for Sales, Net Sell Exceeds Rp 2 Trillion

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Foreign investors recorded a large net sell action in the Indonesian stock market throughout the period of 25-27 March 2026. Selling pressure primarily occurred on big-cap banking stocks.

Total foreign transactions last week reached Rp 70.34 trillion, consisting of sales of Rp 46.36 trillion and purchases of Rp 23.98 trillion. Thus, the net foreign sell amounted to Rp 22.37 trillion.

Notably, Rp 18.76 trillion of this was contributed by PT FAP Agri Tbk (FAPA). Foreign transactions in the stock of the conglomerate Fangiono family’s issuer took place in the negotiation market.

Meanwhile, based on trading data, shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) were one of the most heavily offloaded by foreigners, with a net sell value of around Rp 2.07 trillion in the regular market. In line with this foreign selling action, BBCA shares fell 2% to 6,700 last week.

Outside the banking sector, shares of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) also recorded a substantial net sell of Rp 271.8 billion. Meanwhile, technology stock PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) was offloaded by foreigners to the tune of Rp 192.7 billion.

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) fell 0.14% or 9.78 points to 7,097.06 last week. The average daily transaction value rose 15.27% compared to the week before the long Eid al-Fitr holiday, reaching Rp 23.33 trillion. However, the volume of shares traded declined 4.81% to 28.31 billion.

In line with the IHSG correction, market capitalisation dropped 0.24% to Rp 12,516 trillion.

A total of 404 issuers rose more than 2%, 134 issuers rose between 0%-2%. Then there were 160 issuers that fell more than 2% and 108 issuers fell between 0%-2%. A total of 152 issuers remained unchanged.
