Foreign Investors Target Banks and Commodities as IHSG Corrects
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) weakened again after a sharp rally in previous days, closing down 0.28% at 5,886.03 on Thursday (11/6/2026). A total of 265 stocks advanced, 419 declined, and 131 remained unchanged. Transaction value reached Rp22.27 trillion with a volume of 33.65 billion shares across 2.37 million trades. Foreign investors recorded a substantial net sell of Rp252.65 billion in the overall market and Rp260.61 billion in the regular market, though they also posted a net buy of Rp8.95 billion in the negotiation and cash markets. Banking stocks were the primary destination for foreign inflows. PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) topped the list with a net buy of Rp387.96 billion, while PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) attracted Rp36.41 billion. Beyond banking, foreign interest extended to stocks with exposure to domestic economic recovery and the commodity cycle. PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk. (TPIA) saw a net buy of Rp97.18 billion, followed by PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) at Rp72.76 billion. In the mining and energy sectors, foreign investors accumulated PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk. (EMAS), PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTM), PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI), PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk. (MEDC), and PT Alamtri Minerals Indonesia Tbk. (ADMR). This activity underscores persistent appetite for natural resource-linked equities amid relatively firm global commodity prices.
