Foreign Investors Snap Up Coal Stocks, Here's the List
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Foreign investors recorded net buying actions in several stocks throughout the period of 25-27 March 2026. This accumulation primarily targeted stocks in the energy, mining, and conglomerate sectors.
Based on trading data, shares of PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk (AADI) were the most collected by foreigners, with a net buy value reaching Rp530.4 billion. This was followed by PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) at Rp205.4 billion and PT Astra International Tbk (ASII) at Rp162.7 billion.
In addition, shares of PT Surya Permata Andalan Tbk (NATO) also entered the foreign buying radar with a value of Rp150 billion. Other coal issuers such as PT Indo Tambangraya Megah Tbk (ITMG) and PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) also recorded significant net buys.
This buying action indicates that foreign investors’ interest in commodity-based stocks remains strong, particularly those benefiting from global energy price dynamics.

Meanwhile, the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) fell 0.14% or 9.78 points to 7,097.06 last week. The average daily transaction value rose 15.27% compared to the week before the long Eid al-Fitr holiday, reaching Rp 23.33 trillion. However, the volume of shares traded fell 4.81% to 28.31 billion.
In line with the IHSG correction, market capitalisation dropped 0.24% to Rp 12,516 trillion.
A total of 404 issuers rose more than 2%, 134 issuers rose between 0%-2%. Then there were 160 issuers that fell more than 2% and 108 issuers fell between 0%-2%. A total of 152 issuers did not move.
