Foreign investors recorded a net foreign sell of Rp302.86 billion in the first trading session on Monday (20/7/2026), even as the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) surged to 6,228.92, supported by banking and telecommunication stocks. Domestically, the main focus is on the outcome of Bank Indonesia’s (BI) Board of Governors Meeting, to be announced on Wednesday (22/7/2026), with market consensus expecting BI to hold its benchmark interest rate at 5.75%. The largest foreign selling occurred in state-owned banking stock PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI), with a net sell value of Rp229.11 billion. Next was PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII), which foreigners offloaded by Rp69.86 billion, and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) at Rp53.43 billion. Additionally, foreign investors were recorded selling metal commodity stock PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (ANTM) by Rp46.87 billion, PT Bukit Uluwatu Villa Tbk. (BUVA) by Rp35.22 billion, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBNI) by Rp31.01 billion, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk. (TPIA) by Rp28.18 billion, and PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk. (AMMN) by Rp21.88 billion. Selling pressure also hit PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk. (PGAS) by Rp15.58 billion, PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk. (BRIS) by Rp13.79 billion, and PT Adaro Andalan Indonesia Tbk. (AADI) by Rp13.69 billion.

Amid the heavy foreign fund outflows, several stocks became buying targets. PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) was the stock most snapped up by foreigners, with a net buy value of Rp116.70 billion. Foreigners also collected PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk. (BNBR) worth Rp43.13 billion and Prajogo Pangestu’s PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk. (CUAN) worth Rp30.74 billion. Buying interest also hit PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT) at Rp29.44 billion, PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk. (ADRO) at Rp18.32 billion, and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) at Rp17.93 billion.
