JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Foreign investors once again carried out a net sell action amounting to Rp 797.13 billion during the first trading session on Wednesday (29/4/2026). Jumbo banking stocks became the main target, with PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) as the largest contributor to the sell-off. Based on BEI data, foreign investors recorded a net sell on BBCA shares worth Rp 150 billion during the first trading session. The movement of BBCA showed a pattern of gradual weakening. The shares opened at Rp 6,000 and moved to a high of Rp 6,050. However, consistent selling pressure caused the price to fall to a low of Rp 5,950, before moving back in the range of Rp 5,970 to Rp 5,980. The average trading price was Rp 5,997. Overall, the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed with a slight gain in the first session. The index rose 0.12 percent or 8.239 points to 7,080.632. However, selling pressure temporarily brought the index down to a low of 7,063.992 before stabilising back in the 7,080 range. From the trading activity side, the transaction volume reached 26.88 billion shares with a transaction value of Rp 8.409 trillion and a frequency of 1.47 million times. Share movements were relatively balanced, with 362 shares strengthening, 303 shares weakening, and 147 shares stagnant.
