Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp 454 billion in the first session on Friday (17/4/2026). Indo Premier data shows that foreigners made a massive net purchase of Rp 2.1 trillion, while net sales were even larger at Rp 2.6 trillion.

Selling pressure was evident in major banking stocks, particularly BBCA, BBRI, and BMRI, while foreign buying began to shift towards commodity and energy stocks like CUAN, BRMS, and ADRO.

This indicates a sectoral rotation from banking to commodities in the first session today.

On the selling side, foreign investors offloaded the most BBRI shares, valued at Rp 139.6 billion. This was followed by BRMS at Rp 99.0 billion and BUMI at Rp 69.2 billion. Foreign selling was also seen in MEDC shares at Rp 51.3 billion and CUAN at Rp 42.8 billion.

On the buying side, the stock most accumulated by foreign investors was CUAN, valued at Rp 122.8 billion. In addition, foreigners entered commodity and energy stocks like BRMS, ADRO, and NCKL. Big cap stocks like ASII and BBNI also began to be collected by foreigners, albeit in smaller amounts.

Meanwhile, the largest foreign selling pressure occurred in major banking stocks, particularly BBCA, which recorded a net sell of Rp 147.8 billion. In addition, foreigners offloaded BBRI and BMRI.

Besides the banking sector, foreigners also sold commodity stocks like ANTM, as well as energy and other conglomerate stocks like BUMI and PTRO.
