Foreign Investors Net Buy Rp393 Billion in Session I, Here's the Stock List

The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) reversed direction and closed lower in the first trading session on Monday (10/8/2026). The IHSG initially strengthened at the start of trading before entering negative territory just before the close of the first session.

Based on IDX Mobile data, the IHSG closed at 6,378.40, down 31.25 points or 0.49% compared to the previous close of 6,409.65. The IHSG had touched a high of 6,462.74 in morning trading, before selling pressure brought the index down to a low of 6,372.92.

First session trading was fairly busy, with transaction value reaching Rp11.58 trillion and trading volume of 31.98 billion shares across 1.70 million transactions. Of all shares traded, 287 stocks rose, 330 stocks fell, and 346 stocks were unchanged. Pressure on the IHSG mainly came from large-capitalisation stocks such as TLKM, BMRI, BRPT, VKTR, and AMMN, while SMMA, BBCA, MDKA, DSSA, and GIAA supported the index.

Although the index moved lower in today’s first session, based on Stockbit Sekuritas data, foreign investors still recorded a net foreign buy of Rp393.71 billion across all markets during the first session.

Overall, foreign transaction value in the first session reached Rp6.25 trillion, with foreign buy at Rp3.32 trillion and foreign sell at Rp2.93 trillion.

The largest foreign buying was in PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk. (DSSA) with a net buy value of Rp216.46 billion. In second place was PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk. (MDKA) at Rp62.70 billion, followed by PT Timah Tbk. (TINS) at Rp35.79 billion.

In addition, foreign investors also bought PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk. (PSAB) at Rp30.20 billion, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA) at Rp28.38 billion, and PT Essa Industries Indonesia Tbk. (ESSA) at Rp24.92 billion.

On the other hand, the largest foreign selling occurred in PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk. (TPIA) with a value of Rp244.77 billion. This was followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI) at Rp212.57 billion, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) at Rp97.13 billion.

Selling pressure was also seen in PT Astra International Tbk. (ASII) at Rp82.50 billion, PT Barito Pacific Tbk. (BRPT) at Rp58.34 billion, and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (TLKM) at Rp47.64 billion.

As a note, throughout last week foreign investors recorded a net buy of approximately Rp694.8 billion, with BBRI being the foreign favourite at Rp559 billion, followed by TINS at Rp385.5 billion and DSSA at Rp302 billion.
