Foreign Investors Net Buy Rp220 Billion in First Session, Targeting These Stocks
Foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp220.14 billion in the first trading session on Tuesday (21/7/2026), as the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) extended its rally and surged past the 6,319 level. According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the total transaction value in the morning session reached Rp11.07 trillion, with 387 stocks advancing, 181 declining, and 224 remaining unchanged. The IHSG’s rise was supported by the House of Representatives’ (DPR) approval of the International Financial Centre Bill, alongside market optimism. Foreign buying was led by PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk. (DSSA) with net purchases of Rp169.72 billion, followed by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) at Rp92.81 billion and PT Petrosea Tbk. (PTRO) at Rp41.48 billion. Other stocks targeted by foreign investors included PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI), PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk. (ENRG), and PT Bank Central Asia Tbk. (BBCA). Conversely, PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk. (BNBR) experienced the largest foreign net sell of Rp56.80 billion, followed by PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk. (AMMN) and PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk. (BRMS). The property sector led the market gains, surging 5.17%, while the healthcare sector was the only one to decline.
