Foreign Investors Net Buy in Large Volumes, But These Shares Face Selling Pressure

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) rebounded after closing in the red the previous day. On Wednesday (25/2/2026), the index strengthened by 41.39 points, or 0.50%, to 8,322.23.

Yesterday, the total transaction value reached Rp 29.89 trillion, involving 52.29 billion shares in 2.84 million transactions. As many as 336 shares rose, 335 fell, and 146 remained unchanged.

Meanwhile, foreign investors recorded net purchases of Rp 2.74 trillion in the entire market. In detail, Rp 1.18 trillion was in the regular market and Rp 1.56 trillion was in the negotiation and cash market.

In addition, there are shares that are widely sold by foreigners which also contributed to the IHSG’s movement yesterday being volatile.

Bumi Resources (BUMI) is still the largest net foreign sell. This Bakrie issuer booked Rp 98.43 billion, the largest net foreign sell on yesterday’s trading.
