Foreign Investors Flock to Indonesia, Inflows Reach US$8.5 Billion

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The flow of foreign capital entering Indonesia is becoming increasingly robust. Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo stated that foreign portfolio investment inflows reached US$8.5 billion in the second quarter of 2026. “This was primarily supported by government bonds (SBN) and Bank Indonesia rupiah securities (SRBI),” Perry said during a press conference on Wednesday (22/7/2026). He added that this inflow of foreign capital continued into the third quarter of 2026, specifically up to 20 July 2026. “Notably, government bonds recorded an inflow of US$0.1 billion,” he explained.
