Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — Behind the recorded net buy of Rp7.10 trillion by foreign investors during the trading week of 27-31 July 2026, selling pressure in the regular market continued to overshadow several large-capitalisation stocks. Foreign flow data shows that a jumbo transaction in PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) worth approximately Rp9.33 trillion in the negotiated market was the main factor lifting the total weekly net buy figure. Without this transaction, foreign investors would have actually recorded a net sell of around Rp2 trillion. The heaviest foreign selling pressure was seen in PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), which recorded a net sell of Rp413.1 billion. It was followed by PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (ANTM) at Rp237.6 billion and PT Metropolitan Kentjana Tbk (MKPI) at Rp229.6 billion. Commodity-based stocks also became targets for foreign profit-taking. PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) recorded a net sell of Rp187.9 billion, followed by PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) at Rp172.9 billion. Meanwhile, banking stocks have not fully escaped the pressure. PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) was the bank with the largest foreign net sell during the week, reaching Rp114.7 billion. The complete list of the ten stocks with the largest foreign net sell during the 27-31 July period is as follows: PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) at Rp428.2 billion, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) at Rp413.1 billion, PT Aneka Tambang (Persero) Tbk (ANTM) at Rp237.6 billion, PT Metropolitan Kentjana Tbk (MKPI) at Rp229.6 billion, PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) at Rp187.9 billion, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) at Rp172.9 billion, PT MNC Digital Entertainment Tbk (MSIN) at Rp163.4 billion, PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DEWA) at Rp143.1 billion, PT MD Pictures Tbk (FILM) at Rp143.1 billion, and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) at Rp114.7 billion. Despite this, the Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) still managed to close the week up 0.64% at 6,236.126. The index’s rise was supported by stocks such as PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia Tbk (BBRI), PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk (SRAJ), PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI), PT Astra International Tbk (ASII), and PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCII). Conversely, stocks such as MPRO, BREN, MORA, UNTR, and ENRG were the main drags on the index.
