Foreign Investors Caught Quietly Offloading These Shares as IHSG Fell
The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) failed to extend its gains before the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday public holiday. At the close of trading on Monday (24/8/2026), the IHSG ended 0.37% lower at 6,501.66.
A total of 367 shares declined, 259 shares advanced, while 166 other shares were unchanged. Monday’s trading value reached Rp14.29 trillion with a trading volume of 35.88 billion shares, and 2.19 million transactions were recorded.
Meanwhile, throughout yesterday’s trading, foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp350.71 billion across all markets and Rp556.22 billion in the regular market. In addition, foreign investors recorded a net buy of Rp205.51 billion in negotiated and cash markets.
