Foreign Investors Caught Accumulating These Shares Amid Volatile IHSG
Amid selling pressure in the market, foreign investors were observed accumulating several stocks with significant net foreign buys during Tuesday’s trading (31/3/2026). Shares of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF) were the most heavily purchased by foreigners, valued at Rp62.5 billion. This was followed by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) at Rp39.3 billion and PT Nusantara Sawit Sejahtera Tbk (NSSS) at Rp25.4 billion. Throughout the day, IHSG volatility was quite high. The IHSG opened in positive territory but then reversed to weakness, eventually closing the first session in negative territory. Citing Refinitiv, the utilities, energy, and industrial sectors were the main drags on the IHSG. This was in line with the movements of stocks such as PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN), and PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG), which burdened the index.
