Foreign Investors Accumulate These 10 Stocks as JCI Slumps Following MSCI Review
The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) plummeted by nearly 2% during the final trading session of last week, Wednesday (13/05/2026), as the market responded negatively to the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) index review, which removed several large Indonesian stocks from its global indices. According to Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) data, the JCI closed down 135.58 points, or -1.98%, at the level of 6,723.32.
The greatest pressure on the JCI at the end of last week originated from stocks removed from the MSCI Global Standard Index and the MSCI Global Small Cap Index. MSCI officially removed six Indonesian stocks from the MSCI Global Standard Index, namely: PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), PT Petrindo Jaya Kreasi Tbk (CUAN), and PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT). Additionally, MSCI removed 13 Indonesian stocks from the MSCI Global Small Cap Index.
