Foreign Investment Reaches Rp 202.2 Trillion in Q2 2025, Down 12% from Previous Quarter

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Investment and Downstreaming Minister/BKPM Head Rosan Roeslani reported that realised foreign investment in the second quarter of 2025 reached Rp 202.2 trillion. This figure represents a 12.23% decline compared to the first quarter of 2025, which stood at Rp 230.4 trillion.

By country, the largest foreign direct investment came from Singapore at US$ 8.8 billion in first place, followed by Hong Kong at US$ 4.6 billion. China ranked third at US$ 3.6 billion, with Malaysia fourth at US$ 1.7 billion. Japan rounded out the top five with US$ 1.6 billion in realised investment.

By sector, the largest foreign investment was recorded in Basic Metals and Metal Products (excluding machinery and equipment) at US$ 7.3 billion (27.0%), followed by Mining at US$ 2.4 billion (8.9%), Other Services at US$ 2.2 billion (8.1%), Transportation, Warehousing and Telecommunications at US$ 1.7 billion (6.3%), and the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Industry at US$ 1.6 billion (5.9%).
