Foreign fishermen deported

MANADO, North Sulawesi: Eight Filipino fishermen have been
deported by the immigration office here for entering the province
without proper documents, Antara reported yesterday.

The head of the provincial immigration office, Amar Cho, said
the eight fishermen were caught by a Navy patrol on Feb. 13 while
fishing in Indonesian waters.

The Philippines embassy in Jakarta paid for the cost of
sending the fishermen home. (swe)
