Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Bank Indonesia (BI) Governor Perry Warjiyo has revealed that foreign capital flows have returned to Indonesia as of this week. The value reached US$3.9 billion as of 15 June 2026, following BI’s strengthening of monetary policy. “The result has been able to drive foreign capital in the second quarter with a net inflow of US$3.9 billion,” Perry stated during an online press conference on Thursday (18/6/2026). Perry said the foreign capital inflow throughout the second quarter of 2026 reversed the previous direction, which saw an outflow of US$800 million. He noted that foreign investors primarily targeted portfolio investment assets such as Bank Indonesia Rupiah Securities (SRBI) and Government Bonds (SBN). “The inflow of foreign capital was supported by foreign capital into SRBI and SBN,” he said.
