Foreign buyers to Medan

JAKARTA (JP): At least 200 foreign buyers will visit the
upcoming North Sumatra Export Product Exhibition which will be
held at the Tiara Convention Hall in Medan from Oct.25 to 29, a
trade official said on Monday.

"Buyers and trade missions from Europe, the United States,
Asia and the Middle East have expressed interests to visit the
trade display," Azwar Aziz, head of the international trade
bureau at the N. Sumatra office of the Ministry of Industry and
Trade was quoted by Antara as saying in Medan.

Aziz said the trade fair would display industrial and
agricultural products as well as handicraft and would be attended
by exhibitors from other provinces in Sumatra and Jakarta.

He added that 41 out of the 50 display booths set up in the
fair had been taken up by exhibitors.

According to Aziz, some of the foreign buyers who will visit
the trade fair in Medan would first go to the Indonesian Product
Expo due in Jakarta from Oct.18 to 24. (06)
