Foreign and Domestic Investments in Indonesia Grow in the Q1 2026
According to data from the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industry/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), the total investment realization in Indonesia in the first quarter of 2026 amounted to IDR 498.79 trillion.
This figure consists of foreign direct investment (FDI) of IDR 249.94 trillion and domestic direct investment (DDI) of IDR 248.84 trillion.
The FDI investment realization in the first quarter of 2026 grew by 8.49% year-on-year (yoy). However, it decreased by 2.47% quarter-on-quarter (qtq).
In contrast to FDI, the DDI investment realization in the first quarter of 2026 grew by 5.97% (yoy) and increased by 3.42% (qtq).
In the first three months of this year, the most FDI investment went into the basic metal industry sector, metal goods, not machinery and equipment, reaching IDR 61.12 trillion.
Meanwhile, the largest DDI investment went into the mining sector with a total value of IDR 34.05 trillion.
