Foreign ambassadors present credentials
JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekanoputri received the diplomatic credentials of ambassadors from Zambia, Nicaragua and Angola during a state ceremony at the Merdeka Palace on Thursday.
Ambassadors Godfrey S. Simasuku of Zambia, Eduardo J. Sevilla Somoza of Nicaragua, and Elisio Alvila de Jesus Figueiredo of Angola all presented their credentials to Megawati and held brief meetings with the President.
Simasiku will be stationed in Tokyo; Somoza in New York; and Figueiredo in Singapore.
During the ceremony, Megawati was accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Hassan Wirajuda.--JP
