For just IDR 3,500, here's how to get to PIM 5
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Pondok Indah Mall (PIM) 5 adds to the list of shopping centres in South Jakarta, following PIM 1, 2, and 3 which previously enlivened the area.
Fortunately for visitors who love public transport, the PIM complex is integrated with Transjakarta via the Pondok Indah stop.
This stop serves the Transjakarta BRT corridor 8 Lebak Bulus-Pasar Baru. Therefore, the cost you have to spend to get to this area is only IDR 3,500.
If you get off at the Pondok Indah stop, visitors can immediately go to PIM 1 or PIM 2 which are connected by a skybridge.
For information, PIM 5 officially entered the soft launch phase on Sunday (22/02/2026).
Kompas.com explored access to the latest mall on Tuesday (24/02/2026). The journey started from PIM 1. From the ground floor, the path leads to the side of the Metro store until you find the exit facing the parking area.
From this point, visitors must walk straight to the end of the area. There, the pedestrian bridge is the main connection to PIM 5. Unlike PIM 1, 2, and 3 which are connected by a skybridge, access to this new building still relies on outdoor routes.
Entering the PIM 5 area, the atmosphere is not as lively as the other shopping centres in the PIM complex. Construction activities are still ongoing in several areas.
Heavy equipment is seen tidying up the paving blocks in the outdoor area, while inside the building some tenants are still covering their stores with project boards.
Some stores have started operating, but others are still in the interior design completion stage.
The presence of PIM 5 extends the development of the PIM area which has long been known as one of the lifestyle centres in South Jakarta.
Nada, one of the visitors to PIM, said that she had known about the PIM development project. However, she admitted that she had not had time to visit PIM 5.
“I saw it on TikTok about PIM 5. I haven’t been there yet, maybe sometime,” said Nada when met at PIM 1.
