POWER PLANT: The electricity sector remains one of the most
lucrative business fields to invest in amid a continuing increase
in power demand in the country. Even though a number of giant
power plants, including the coal-fired Suralaya power plant in
Merak, Banten (above), are in operation, they are still unable to
meet the sharp increase in the demand for electricity.
