For Eid al-Adha, East Lombok Goat Sellers Offer Free Delivery

Goat sellers in Suela Village, Suela District, East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) are offering free shipping for buyers. The service is provided specifically for purchases of sacrificial animals ahead of Eid al-Adha.

One seller and goat farmer in Suela Village, Muhammad Syarif Hidayatullah (31), said the free shipping is part of a promotion. Syarif is waiving delivery costs for sacrificial animals to all areas of Lombok Island.

‘As Eid al-Adha approaches we are providing free shipping across Lombok Island, also as a promotion,’ Syarif told detikBali on Tuesday (19/5/2026).

Besides free shipping, Syarif is also waiving holding fees for the goats for buyers up to H-1 Eid al-Adha. ‘If bought today, we can deliver it the day before Eid al-Adha,’ he added.

Syarif noted that his goat stock has almost sold out. Buyers come not only from East Lombok, but also from West Lombok up to Mataram City. He is promoting the sacrificial animals via social media.

‘This remaining stock is only three head, but there are already orders from people in Mataram,’ Syarif said.

According to Syarif, goat prices rise sharply ahead of Eid al-Adha. On normal days, a goat sells for Rp 500,000 to Rp 700,000. Now prices can reach Rp 3 million per head.
