Food Reviewer Codeblu Questioned by Police Over Extortion Allegations Report

Food reviewer or food critic, Codeblu, has been questioned by the police. This is related to a report regarding allegations of defamation and extortion filed by PT Prima Hidup Lestari with the Clairmont brand. According to detikNews, the questioning was conducted by Bareskrim Polri. It is not yet known what information the police obtained from Codeblu. “Yes (Codeblu) is being questioned to obtain his statement,” said the Head of Sub-Directorate II of the Cyber Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri, Commissioner Andrian Pramudianto, when asked for confirmation on Tuesday (21/4/2026). For context, the report was submitted since 2 February 2026 and registered with the number: STTL/51/II/2026/BARESKRIM. Clairmont’s legal representative, Reagan, stated that they officially reported Codeblu to Bareskrim at the National Police Headquarters. “I will explain more about the technicalities of the report. So, the person we reported, with initials CB, real name WA, was reported to the National Police Headquarters,” said Reagan in Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta, on Friday (13/2). “Because the modus operandi is consultation. Initially, it was even offered for Rp 600 or 650 million. Then, under the pretext of ‘Oh, I’ll give a discount,’ it was re-offered for Rp 350 million, which for us is not a good offer, but rather a form of extortion that we now call digital thuggery,” he added. In addition, Clairmont claims that Codeblu committed slander. It is alleged that there was manipulation of authentic data. “The second is Article 35. Why? Because there is manipulation of authentic data. For example, our client was accused of providing mouldy and rotten cakes to an orphanage. And second, using a topper that had been touched by hand and then placed on top of the cake and sold, whereas it was actually only for display,” explained Reagan. Clairmont owner, Susana Darmawan, admitted to suffering losses of up to Rp 5 billion in the period from the end of 2024 to 2025 due to the issues caused by Codeblu.
