Food Price Information Centre: Chicken Eggs Rp32,300 per Kg, Red Bird's Eye Chillies Rp71,550 per Kg

The National Strategic Food Price Information Centre (PIHPS), managed by Bank Indonesia, recorded food prices on Saturday (18 April 2026) at 09:20 WIB, with the commodity of broiler chicken eggs reaching Rp32,300 per kilogram (kg), while red bird’s eye chillies stood at Rp71,550 per kg. Based on data from PIHPS reported in Jakarta, in addition to red bird’s eye chillies and chicken eggs, other national retail-level food prices included shallots at Rp46,150 per kg and garlic at Rp39,950 per kg. Furthermore, lower grade I rice was priced at Rp14,600 per kg, lower grade II rice at Rp14,550 per kg. Meanwhile, medium grade I rice was at Rp16,100 per kg, and medium grade II rice at Rp15,950 per kg. Then, super grade I rice was at Rp17,400 per kg, and super grade II rice at Rp16,900 per kg. Subsequently, PIHPS recorded the price of large red chillies at Rp46,300 per kg, curly red chillies at Rp45,250 per kg, and green bird’s eye chillies at Rp48,950 per kg. Fresh broiler chicken meat was at Rp40,400 per kg, beef quality I at Rp147,700 per kg, and beef quality II at Rp139,850 per kg. The prices of the following commodities were premium white sugar at Rp20,250 per kg and local white sugar at Rp19,150 per kg. Meanwhile, bulk cooking oil was at Rp20,300 per litre, branded packaged cooking oil I at Rp23,500 per litre, and branded packaged cooking oil II at Rp22,650 per litre.
