Food, Energy, and MSME Sectors Deemed Pillars of National Economic Resilience

Food security, national energy development, and the empowerment of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) are considered important foundations for maintaining Indonesia’s economic resilience amid global uncertainty. Various strategic government programmes are also seen as having the potential to drive economic growth while creating jobs.

Acting Chairman of the Crescent Star Party (PBB), Yuri Kemal Fadlullah, stated that Indonesia possesses strong capital to face global economic challenges through the development of the food and energy sectors and the strengthening of the people’s economy. He made the remarks at the closing of the National Working Meeting, Technical Guidance for Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) members across Indonesia, and the 28th Anniversary of PBB in Jakarta on Thursday (17/7/2026).

“Facing global economic challenges, Indonesia has strong capital through the development of food security, national energy development, and various strategic government programmes, including the Free Nutritious Meals Programme, which is deemed to benefit millions of people while opening new jobs,” Yuri said in a statement on Saturday (18/7/2026).

In addition to supporting various government programmes, PBB also introduced the Ant Movement as an economic solidarity movement aimed at encouraging the use of domestic products and strengthening MSME players. The programme also includes legal assistance for the public, legal education, economic empowerment, and skills training for the younger generation as an effort to increase community capacity.

Yuri affirmed that PBB continues to support the government and is ready to oversee the implementation of various government programmes so that their benefits can be felt by the public. “Regional regulations that favour the common people, honest budget oversight, and consistent daily presence, not just during campaigns, are what will lead PBB to victory,” he said.
