Food is secure, energy is secure. Many countries are panicking, but Indonesia is still doing well.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto stated that Indonesia remains in a stable condition amidst global uncertainty because the nation’s food and energy resilience is maintained.

“Food is secure, energy is secure. Many countries are panicking, but Indonesia is still doing well,” said Prabowo in Nganjuk, East Java, on Saturday.

Prabowo said that there are still parties who continue to voice concerns that Indonesia will experience collapse and chaos, including regarding the exchange rate of the Rupiah against the US dollar.

However, according to him, people in villages do not depend on the use of the US dollar in their daily lives.

He assessed that the condition of national food and energy resilience remains secure in the current global situation.

According to him, the request for assistance includes fertiliser to rice after the world’s supply chain was disrupted due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

“Many countries are asking for fertiliser from Indonesia. We are not euphoric, we are not arrogant, but we are on the side that can provide assistance,” he said.

In addition to Australia, a number of other countries such as the Philippines, India, Bangladesh, and Brazil are also said to have asked for fertiliser from Indonesia.

Prabowo said that he had ordered that all of these requests be assisted.

The President is also optimistic that Indonesia can rise to become a strong country in not too long.

“I am determined, I believe, and I am sure that in not too long we will rise,” said Prabowo.
