“This is in line with the directives of the President of the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen law enforcement and safeguard the honour of state institutions,” said TNI Head of Public Relations Brigadier General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah during a press conference at TNI Headquarters on Wednesday (25/3/2026).
The TNI emphasised its commitment to firmly addressing every legal and disciplinary violation committed by its personnel.
On the other hand, the TNI also recognises and honours exemplary personnel, particularly those involved in disaster management in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, as well as in maintaining security stability in Papua and border areas such as Malaysia, Timor Leste, and Papua New Guinea.
“For TNI personnel who commit legal violations or criminal acts, the TNI states that it will not tolerate them and will take firm action in accordance with applicable legal provisions, whether through military courts, imposition of disciplinary punishments such as detention and dismissal from positions, or dishonourable discharge from military service,” he stressed.
The violations handled include abuse of authority, involvement in illegal activities, and criminal acts such as assault.
In addition, the TNI is strengthening internal supervision, improving leadership quality, and instilling discipline and integrity in all personnel.
